Anthroposophical Research WIKI

Welcome to the Anthroposophical Research Wiki, an online, user-built resource for the indications of Rudolf Steiner’s spiritual science. As an endeavor of the Initiative for Anthroposophy, the Wiki is intended to become an extensive collection of topical summaries containing all known references of Rudolf Steiner to a given topic. In addition to these indications each Wiki will consist of an encyclopedic entry, the dates of writings/lectures, references to source material, and a categorization of quotations according to their source – published, archival, anecdotal, etc. In creating each Wiki the effort is always to provide enough contextual material that the meaning of an indication speaks for itself as it was originally intended. In this way, both the unique insights and descriptions as well as the various points of view with which Rudolf Steiner approached a given topic can be clearly surveyed and further research of the surrounding material can be easily pursued. The hope is that the Anthroposophical Research Wiki can further a high standard of spiritual-scientific research amongst anthroposophical peers and in such a way that is both rigorous and transparently accessible – a step, if you will, to […]

Translation Efforts

One of the Intiative for Anthroposophy’s central activities is bringing works of essential importance to Anthroposophy into the English language and thereby making them accessible to most of the world. Among existing works not currently available in English, books and essays of Gennady Bondarev stand out both in their quality and their chosen topics. These alone are thousands of pages rich with content both textual and visual. Given the immensity of this task and the current absence of any funding, a great deal of labor in the translation, editing and publishing of these works has been invested by those whose only return is a spiritual one.

We seek those who are able and willing to contribute to this cause in some way, either by participating in the translation and preparation of texts, or in supporting those so dedicated financially. The work will continue regardless, the only question is how much time and effort can be freed up from other paying work. Below find a list of active translation projects and links to various ways to donate (if you have a preference of which active project you wish to support, please […]

About the Initiative

– Its Foundation and Purpose

The Initiative for Anthroposophy is a global association of individuals who have as their common purpose the cultivation of a truly esoteric Anthroposophy – a spiritual science and methodology capable of transcending the limits of knowledge imposed by the sense-bound intellect and attaining to genuine spiritual reality. The cognitive faculty of intuitive, ‘beholding’ thinking, with its inherent sevenfold methodology at the core of Rudolf Steiner’s epistemological works, as well as its extension via the anthroposophical methods of esoteric development, are the means by which this work is attained.

The Initiative for Anthroposophy seeks to cultivate this esotericism on a completely free and individual basis and is fundamentally independent of all affiliations, groups, societies, etc. As such, the Initiative is not a part or function of the Anthroposophical Society and furthermore, while it openly strives for collaboration with all serious anthroposophists, it does not recognize the Society’s leadership or the High School of Spiritual Science as having any formal esoteric authority in relation to the Spiritual Movement of Anthroposophy. This in no way precludes the associates of the Initiative from working within […]
